Reach Out: Serve
We don't just talk church, we do it.
Jesus' ministry was alive and active. Following His example, the Woodside family aims to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, in our country and around the world. Not only do we contribute 11% of our operating budget to support mission organizations and individual missionaries, most of our members participate in at least one outreach ministry.
In 2009 alone, Woodside:
- donated Thanksgiving baskets to Interfaith Housing Group
- collected gifts for the Angel Tree
- assembled hygiene kits for the homeless
- donated enough money to dig two water wells in Africa
- sent work teams to Habitat for Humanity NJ
- sent over 60 adults and youth on short-term overseas mission trips
- sponsored missionaries in Lebanon, India and the Dominican Republic
- visited nursing homes, prisons, homeless shelters
- became a Code Blue site for the homeless
