Woodside's Road Map for Reopening

July 07, 2020

Notes

Dear Woodside brothers and sisters,
I pray you and your family are well as you face the ongoing challenges of this pandemic.

We Will Offer Options – While some are eager to get back to in-person gatherings, not everyone will feel comfortable or be able to return to the building at first. Throughout the month of July we will offer one outdoor worship service at 10 a.m. in the parking lot.

We will evaluate and make a decision about the remainder of the summer soon. Regardless, we will continue to offer online services and groups so all may participate.

A New Normal is Coming – Enormous changes have occurred over the last few months and there are more to come, including how we “do church.” Some are driven by restrictions such as how we serve communion or how close we sit or stand to each other. These will lift gradually over time as we move through the Green Phase. Some changes are opportunities to try new forms of church such as online church, house churches or microchurches. As we navigate this uncertain journey we will continue to follow the Holy Spirit and to offer the full abundant life of Jesus Christ – together!

With all this in mind, you will find the road map of our reopening plan here. It is the result of discussions with government officials, ministry organizations and other congregations. Our elders and staff improved and approved it. This is only the basics. Stay tuned for additional details! We are eager to gather again but we want to make sure it is safe and appropriate. Thank you for your prayers and patience as we walk by faith in Jesus, our Good Shepherd.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Doug
