Welcoming the Stranger, a local nonprofit that provides English as a Second language classes for adult immigrants and refugees, is partnering with Woodside to offer a conversation class this Fall for 8 weeks and possibly ongoingly. Volunteers will be paired with a small group of immigrant and refugee students to practice casual conversation skills. This is a low commitment way to actively support this community and help out a fellow neighbor. Volunteers do not need any prior experience but must be 18 years or older.
