Anchor Special Needs Ministry and Sunday School

The mission of Anchor, Woodside's Special Needs Ministry, is to create an inclusive, loving, safe space for neurodivergent people of all ages and their families to feel welcomed, served, and fully participate in church life.

Sunday School and Friday Night Activities (for all ages) is offered. Individuals are grouped based on age in both Sunday School and Friday Nights. We are not starting our Friday Night Ministry yet - check back for more info.

Sunday School: Families attend the 9 AM Sunday service together for worship and Sunday School participants are dismissed during the announcement time. Children in middle school will meet in a preschool classroom, and high school to adults will meet in the computer laWe will be using the Bethesda Series curriculum for our groups on Sunday mornings. This is adapted from the Person of Jesus Study.

Our goal is to help others grow spiritually through tailored support, friendships, worship, and reflecting Christ's heart for all people. We equip volunteers, create safe spaces, and provide respite for parents and families so that families can worship on Sundays. Our goal is foster authentic relationships, offering sensory-friendly activities and lessons to nurture spiritual, social, and emotional growth.
