ManorCare Residents looking for Pen Pals

Are you at home and looking for a way to give back to the community? Our residents would love to receive pictures, letters, postcards, or drawings from you and your family. Help lift our residents’ spirits and keep them feeling connected while they stay indoors and out of harm’s way.

Mail them to: Attn: Joyce Sarkodie, ManorCare Health Services - Oxford Valley, 1480 Oxford Valley Rd., Yardley, PA 19067

RED CROSS

One of Red Cross's biggest needs is drivers, who are literally delivering the gift of life. Find a blood drive here. They work solo (minimal interaction, easy social distancing, etc.) on their schedule taking donated blood from nearby blood drives to Red Cross Philly-based lab at 7th & Spring Garden and/or from the lab to area hospitals. More information here.

DELIVER FOOD FOR FAMILIES IN NEED

The Philadelphia nonprofit HIAS PA is seeking volunteers who are comfortable going grocery shopping with their own finances as an in-kind donation for some food and goods and dropping them off in front of families' homes. Sign up here.
